Do we always listen to what our gut tells us? I certainly don't, but maybe it's the best advice you can get.

I am recruiting exclusively for a very rare Home Manager opportunity, one where the successful applicant will be able to bring their compassion and creativity to the forefront, by joining a delightful and markedly forward-thinking small business. These folks have an excellent track record and an impressive heritage but this is their first home in the area. You'll be pleased to know that the home is situated in an enviable spot on the edge of central Leicester, enjoying great transport links and other advantages. Whats more, it is a truly unique medium sized Nursing Home, presenting a fabulous opportunity for a capable Registered Manager to build, in to being a significantly larger service and/or centre of clinical excellence.

There is also the opportunity for you to influence the direction the service takes in terms of care specialism, something they already have exciting ideas about; and they'd also like you to have a say in how the management team is structured.

We are looking for a Home Manager who:

  • Is CQC Registered
  • Has had good or outstanding CQC inspection results
  • Has very good marketing skills
  • Has had a stable/progressive career to date
  • Is good at planning and delivering a plan
  • Is good with budgets but doesn't want financial targets
  • Is a good leader, capable of attracting and managing a strong clinical MDT

The Nursing Home already benefits from electronic care plans and medication admin systems, so you'll need to understand the benefit of those things too.

Above all we are looking for someone who knows that being a responsible manager financially and being a care-quality-focused leader don't have to be mutually exclusive.

If that sounds like it could be you and you bring existing knowledge and established links with CQC, LA & CHC teams, then the job is practically yours already.

Finally, an NMC PIN would be an advantage but is not essential.
